As the founder of a Raleigh interior design studio, Hannah French has made a living helping people bring their visions to life. Through her studio, The Highpoint House, Hannah serves as a go-to resource for clients hoping to strike the perfect balance between style and functionality at home. So, we were quite flattered when she chose Drees to build her forever home.
Hannah and her husband, Will, have spent years managing design projects for others. This time, they were delighted to design their own dream home and leave the heavy lifting to us.
Their floor plan ‘checked all the hidden boxes’
From the second they walked through the door of the Hadley floor plan, they knew it was the perfect fit for them.
“What originally attracted us to this floor plan … was the open and inviting entryway and the fact that this house checked all the hidden boxes on our list that we didn’t even know we had,” Hannah said.
Hannah and Will’s home features a first floor office and an extra living space off of the kitchen that the couple could use as a playroom in the future. Their Hadley floor plan also has multiple outdoor living spaces, an add-on bonus room and a fourth bedroom with a bathroom.
“It was a must for us to have our owner’s suite on the second floor, so we could be close to kids in the future,” Hannah said.
Her Signature Style: Classic with a modern twist
Hannah’s signature look pulls inspiration from nature to create approachable and beautiful interior design.
Her design services focus on clean, effortless and affordable spaces, and her finish selections feature classic materials with a modern twist.
In her Drees home, the kitchen is one of her favorite spaces. Its massive windows provide both natural light and a stunning view of their wooded backyard, and the open floor plan makes for the perfect spot to entertain friends and family.
“We both enjoy cooking, so we opted to upgrade appliances and add features like a farm sink and pot filler,” Hannah said.
The Frenches also love their owner’s suite bathroom, which boasts large windows, a free standing tub and body sprayers in the shower.
Why Drees? ‘We were hooked’
Hannah said one of the reasons they selected Drees is because our team understood that she and Will wanted this to be their forever home.
Once the couple discovered the community they wanted to build in, they realized that Drees offered a perfect floor plan, and they “were hooked.”
“Even though we were building a semi-custom home with a pre-existing floor plan, they provided a personal experience when it came to our special requests,” Hannah said.
