It turned out to be a very successful night for Drees’ Washington D.C. team at the recent Black and White Virtual GALA, held by the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association on February 18th, 2021. The GALA, better known as the Great American Living Awards, is a yearly event that honors the building industry’s best and brightest. This year’s virtual ceremony saw two Drees model homes take home awards for exceptional design and architecture. A Drees Market Manager was also honored for her outstanding performance in 2020. Let’s take a deeper look at the winners and why the NVBIA chose to recognize each with prestigious awards.
Design and Architecture Winners
THE ROWAN AT VIRGINIA CROSSING
Winner of Detached Home ($700,000 – $850,000)

Truly an awe-inspiring sight from the curb, the Rowan at Virginia Crossing in Haymarket, Virginia took one of Drees’ most popular D.C. floor plans and raised the bar even higher. With incredible, must-see features such as a bright and airy open living area on the main level and a luxuriously private owner’s suite on the second level, the Rowan checks all the boxes of every resident’s needs. Upgraded ceiling features, a wraparound front porch, a kitchen with an island and tons of storage space add to this incredible plan’s highlight reel.

Outstanding Sales Person Winner
BROOKE ADAMS

Now working in the exciting new community of Potomac Shores in Dumfries, Virginia, Brooke Adams spent a successful 2020 in Fredericksburg, Virginia selling our luxury townhome product at New Post on the Rappahannock. A member of the Drees team since 2014, Brooke excelled in her role at New Post while catching the attention of the NVBIA in the process. We are truly lucky to have Brooke as a member of the Drees team!
