Homeowner Spotlight: Meet Scott & Amy

Scott and Amy are no strangers to the home building process. In fact, they have built three Drees homes. Each home has catered to a different season of their lives. Their most recent residence sets the scene for the empty nester lifestyle with plenty of room for their children and grandchildren to visit.

We caught up with Scott and Amy to learn why they have made the choice to build with Drees time and time again.

What floor plan did you choose and what drew you to this design?

We chose the Sebastian.  We were attracted to this floor plan, because it checked all of our boxes: single-level living, ability to customize for our needs and lots of space.

What did you enjoy most about the building process?

The entire process was exciting. We had a good time making selections with our Design Consultant at the Drees Design Center. She was extremely helpful. The frequent contact with our Builder and Market Manager kept us included in the process. They made us feel like we were their top priority all of the time.

As you have watched your home come to life, what have become your favorite spaces and features?

If we had to identify a few favorite spaces, it would be Amy’s craft room, Scott’s den and the large family ready room.

What advice would you give others who are interested in building?

Be as transparent as possible on what your dream home would look like.  All of Drees employees will work to make your dreams come true.

Why did you choose to build with Drees?

This is our third Drees home. Drees has models that meet you where you are in life and they have proven to build a quality house that we can transition into our home.
