I’m thrilled about the trends we’re forecasting for the new year. Here’s a glimpse into what we expect to see:

Trend 1: A Color Expansion at the Heart of the Home

While white cabinets are still a lasting favorite, we are starting to see new colors in the kitchen. You’ll start to see pops of blue and green that compliment an earthy style. Most notably, the island, backsplashes and décor accents are easiest places to infuse meaningful and memorable color.

Trend 2: Introducing Relaxed Organic

I am also loving the more relaxed organic look that is starting to creep in. Whether you consider your style casual or sophisticated, organic touches of natural wood and clean lines is going to mix well and elevate your look.

Trend 3: Mixed Metals – A Must!

Gone are the days when all of your lights fixtures, plumbing, and hardware accents must match. We are starting to think of these pieces more like jewelry and we want them to shine! For example, try mixing brushed golds with bronze, or a matte black with chrome. This dynamic and variety creates layers of interest in the home.
