Handy Tips from our Lawn Care Experts

Being the Handy Homeowner that you are, we venture to say that you want to keep your lawn looking green, lush, and healthy. So we’ve put together a few simple tips that will have your neighbors green with envy!

Tip 1: Water between 6 and 10 a.m. It’s cooler and less windy in the morning. Plus, it gives your lawn a full day to dry.
Tip 2: Don’t overwater. Check the soil moisture before you start. Push a 6-inch screwdriver or stake into the ground. If it’s difficult to break through the soil, your lawn needs watering. If it’s easy to break through the soil, your lawn is likely moist enough.
Tip 3: Give your trees a trickle. Place a hose near the base of your trees or shrubs. Let the water run at a trickle for a few minutes. This helps your plants absorb more water.
(And it gives you a little break.)

Easy enough?  Good!
Two green thumbs up.
