How to Help Your Kids Move Into Their New Drees Home

Moving into a new home can be stressful for adults, but think about how your kids might feel. Kids are often not used to such a big change in their lives, which means that you should try your utmost to help them adjust to the move. Use the following tips to help your kids move into your new Drees Home.

  • Communication – As soon as you decide to move, have a big family gathering and explain to your kids that you’re moving and, more importantly, why you’re moving.  Allow them to voice their concerns and do your best to address them, like offering a moving away party with their friends and making plans to visit after the move.
  • Planning – Let them to have a say in how their new bedroom will be set up. Allowing your kids to be part of the planning process is a great way to get them excited about the move.
  • Involvement – Another important way to make your kids feel like they are part of the move is to allow them to help out when it comes to packing. Let them pack some of their own things, especially treasured possessions. Let them choose a few toys and books to take with them in the car as well, which will also keep them entertained (and keep your stress levels down) while on the road.
